The project was produced within a workshop about the “ground” as a mutable and comprehensive element of architecture and shows a collision between a parquet floor and its underlaying structures. The basis for this collision is a floor pattern, that in itself is already shifting and moving between different shapes and sizes. The cables that bend some of the tiles, seem to grow out of the floor, twist and splice into different branches and disappear again. They are forming another layer on top where they don‘t belong. This could be a start of questioning the hierarchies of construction building. The experiment was inspired by the interaction between natural elements that interact often unpredictable, invasive and overpowering with the human-made, artificial world. / 2019
