The carpet draws the focus back to the ground and transforms it into an interactive chill out area. Just like on the beach you can sink in, feel, change and move the floor with your hands and body. A hand woven and knotted surface forms the first layer, a cartographic landscape that is created by different colors and different types of wool. Below this layer is a second, filled one, which supports the deformability and softness of the carpet. The project deals with a traditional craft and at the same time investigates habits of spatial use. / 2017
